Brainstorming ideas due posted on blogs -- 150-300 words: what your group decided on, what characters and who is playing them, your vision and ideas for your scene

Our play is taken from the characters on the boat in the first story of the book. In our group we have the actors Zony, Gia and I.  This story will be taking place before the girl and boy fell potentially wrote their love letters on the boat and from back home. 

In our scene, I will be playing the boyfriend. The boy will be cunning and charming. We thought this would be a good idea because I am a lively person and don't get mad often. However, Zony will be the father.  He will get mad at his daughter, Gia, for wanting to date the boy who is deemed as trouble. This will be the premise of the play. The girl and boy from the first story will want to be together except the father won't approve of the boy so the boy will have to sneak around the father in order to have this relationship. The girl will be quiet, and somewhat shy. This is to minimize her since she will be in all the scenes. Additionally, it will show the contrast of a shy girl getting yelled at by her dad. Eventually, the father may approve of the boy and the story can have a happy ending. Although this is not set in stone this is the current plan for our play.
