The shakespeare play is well written and contains many literary devices throughout the play. In the play there are many different aspects that occur and structures that make up the play. Some of these aspects include the setting, music, sound, climate. time,  language, character development, and change throughout the play. The play is physically performed in a theater during the day time. The theater has an open roof, so if it rained or there was another inconvenient for of weather the play would be canceled. Due to the fact that the scenery was not as technology advanced as today, the author needed to use the actors to describe the time of day in the play. In the play they use birds to describe the time of night. "It was the Lark the herald of the morn, No Nightingale." This shows how the author tells the audience the time of day using birds. Additionally, the climate in the play is relatively subtle. Although the play is technically in the summer, part of it is up to the reader's imagination, because it does not directly say that it is the summer. It only implies that it is the summer. Throughout the play there would be limited music doe to the time period of the play and the fact that people would need to listen to what the characters were saying. However, there would be soothing sounds. The play itself is composed of many poetic devices, such as rhyming. Additionally, they way they talk in the play has a certain musical rhythm to it. Even the classing of the swords can be rhythmic. Shakespeare does a phenomenal job at incorporating that into his play. The play takes place in Verona, and mostly takes place in a few main spots. The main locations of this play are in Friar's cell, the balcony, or on the streets. Generally on the balcony it was a love scene and in the streets it contained violence. Throughout these scenes there is character development. The main characters shift personalities substantially. Romeo and Juliet become blinded with love which somehow causes them to shift personalities. Juliet stepped up and acted independently from her parents when she fell in love. Her parents had a only partly shocking change when Juliet decided to rebel from he parents. He parents threatened to disown her when she disobeyed them, where at first they said the let her make the decision. Although there is a good chance they were lying the whole time and just wanted it to seem ethical that they let her choose her spouse. Even the nurse Juliet's one true friend betrayed her and took her parents side. She became rebellious and a leader.  Romeo on the other hand had the opposite effect.  He became terrified of life and hunched over like a cowardly dog. He let Juliet do the planning, and make the cunning moves after receiving the tragic news of his fate. Shakesphere did a phenominal job with the charactor development in this play. He showed how people can change baced on the conditions they're in.
